Shared Utopia
Solo Exhibition and in-situ Installation

From April 4th to July 26th, Le Plateau of Rhône-Alpes puts Georges Rousse in honor with the exhibition Utopies Partagées (Shared Utopias).
Organized in five different spaces, it proposes the works from the French photographer, made between 1982 and 2014 : photographs of buildings - destined to be demolished or converted into something else - in the Rhone-Alpes area or Palerme, Houston or Montreal. But also sketches, preparatory drawings, travel notebooks and videos that complete the photographic exhibition.
One of the spaces is totally dedicated to an exclusive new work, made in january 2014 in India - in one of the biggest slums of Bombay, Shivaji Nagar - with the help of young volunteers from the Rhone-Alpes region and indian teenagers. On the Plateau, will be reproduced in real-size the place where the work has been created in India, with a new anamorphosis.
